Great Entry-Level DVD Player, August 17, 2011 : I just installed this unit in my boss's truck. He previously had a Pioneer AVIC-F900BT and had nothing but problems with it. This unit had much simpler wiring than the AVIC and installed very easily and quickly. All connections were labeled well on the back of the unit. Initial setup was very quick and easy as the menu interfaces are very easy to use. The screen is very bright and clear, and DVD's play extremely fast and look amazing for a 5.8" screen. Overall, I would recommend this unit to anyone looking for a inexpensive, yet quality DVD/CD player. Note- Although Pioneer would not be happy with me saying this, the parking brake lock out for DVD's was easy to wire around. You just need a simple 4 pole 12V relay and you are ready to play DVD's while driving. If you need information on how to do the wire around, just check out the YouTube videos..... By J.P.
A nice addition to your car, May 31, 2011 : I have owned this for a month and a half now and I really like it. With the exception of a few gripes: 1) If you're using a USB drive, it takes about 10-15 seconds for the device to start playing when the car comes on. 2) If your song titles are super long for example: Such and Such Ft. That Guy, The player will probably display "Such and Such Ft." and you'll be unable to tell who "That Guy" is. Also, when scrolling through file listings, you won't be able to see full titles there either.I would think a player of this price would detect when the title was too long and would make it scroll, but I was wrong.Other than the above (very small) issues, this thing rocks!.
